Split/Fountain (S/F) is a critical platform for navigating and intervening in systems of design, publishing, archiving, and cultural production—provisional, relational, and resistant to optimisation. Founded in 2009 through materially-driven, collaborative projects—ranging from publications and exhibitions to events and experimental design—S/F now surfaces occasionally in response to specific conditions and urgencies. We move between disciplines and formats, mobilising publishing as a way of thinking, making, and reframing. In a landscape governed by platform logic and algorithmic visibility, S/F privileges friction over fluency, context over content, and relation over reach—making space for what is marginal, obscured, or left unresolved.
